When you’re waiting for a baby so many things cross your mind…
What will our baby be like? What will we be like as parents? What is my body doing? (LOL! Maybe that was just my recollection of pregnancy.)
But yes, a plethora of thoughts fill your head.
So, rather than make assumptions about what it was like to be waiting for this baby (girl), I thought I’d let Andrea tell you in her own words:
Why did you want to document this phase of your life?
At first, I was not interested in documenting my pregnancy. I was thinking, “What is the big deal?”
Then, as I grew bigger and started feeling baby move, kick, and hiccup, I realized this is such an incredible and unique experience and I would regret not capturing it with professional pictures!

What do you want to remember about your pregnancy?
I want to remember the baby kicks, jabs and rolls in my belly, as this was when it became more realistic that I was growing a baby and I wasn’t just gaining weight!
I also think this is when I first felt connected to my baby and started to build a bond with her.
What do you want to say to your unborn child and/or husband?
To James, you truly are my best friend and soulmate. I am so grateful for your unwavering kindness, love, support and humour.
I never thought it was possible to love you more than on our wedding day, but since carrying our child my love for you has only grown deeper.
I cannot wait to share this parenting journey with you because I know you are going to be an incredible father to our little babe!
To our unborn daughter, I wish for you to be happy and healthy, to feel loved, to show kindness and love to others (especially the less fortunate), and to know that your dad and I will always support you.
I also secretly (or maybe not so secretly) hope that you will go into a helping profession like your father and I. I think learning at a young age to be empathic to others and treat them the way you want to be treated is one of the most important qualities to have, especially with all the negativity that occurs in the world.
So be brave, be bold, be kind and kick some serious butt – the future is female and will be bright with you in it! – Love, Andrea
