When you’re a natural light photographer that typically shoots outdoors, you’re really at the mercy of the weather. There aren’t too many indoor photo locations around.
It can be frustrating in a place like Calgary cause winter seems to last about 10 months of the year. Winter wonderland photos are all fine and dandy until it gets to be -25 degrees Celsius…and then it’s not so fun!
So what do you do when it’s freezing outside and you want to shoot some family photos? You google, “best indoor photo locations Calgary.” And when that fails, you play the “phone a friend” card and hope for the best (thanks for the idea, Karin!).
Et Voila! A C-train station! Why didn’t I think of that?
It might not be everyone’s first choice, but with a little creativity and lovely South facing windows, anything is possible…including great family photos. Don’t you agree?
