Over the past few years I’ve come to know and love the pathways that surround the Glenmore Reservoir. Just a short minute away from the office, the Reservoir is the perfect spot to get in a quick lunchtime walk (and satisfy my podcast addition) while feeling like I’ve left Calgary for a brief moment in time.
Sadly, my lunchtime walks are coming to an end as I’m heading across the city to new a new office. But I was feeling optimistic today when the S.S. Moyie greeted me for a send-off.
Legend has it, the original paddlewheel was intended to ferry miners to the Klondike gold rush. So perhaps this is a sign of a prosperous future… Or maybe it just means that my ship has sailed…
