Lifestyle photos work really well in the comfort of your own home. It’s where we get to be cozy and carefree. It’s where we get to relax and just be ourselves.
But what are lifestyle photos, you ask?
I like to think of them as a blend of documentary and posed shots.
I love capturing the real-life, day-to-day interactions in a family. There are so many things that you do together as a family that might seem trivial or uninspiring to you. But if you really stop to think about it, these are the beautiful moments that make up your life!
Reading bedtime stories. Preparing food as a family. Bear hugs and sloppy kisses. This is the stuff that memories are made of.
But it’s also nice to capture a few “classic” shots as well. The portraits you might hang on the wall. The ones that you print for holiday cards.
A little of this, a little of that. A lot of love. To me, this is what lifestyle photos are made of. And to mom, this is a true reflection of life as it is right now.
“I like marking the passage of time. It’s a way to punctuate our lives. It’s crazy how fast they are changing!”
