It’s been a while since I’ve taken some quality family photos. Lately, I’ve been relying on my trusty old iPhone a little too much. Phones are awesome for documenting our lives…but sometimes you need a little more, you know? So I figured it was time to haul out my big girl camera on the last night of our Qualicum Beach vacation.
We had such a great time on Vancouver Island this summer. With family in both Nanaimo and Victoria, I’m quite familiar with the island, but I hadn’t spent any time in the Parksville/Qualicum Beach area before.
It’s a great little spot for kids (and adults!). The long, sandy beaches (when the tide goes out) make for endless exploring opportunities. And the sunsets…well, they’re aren’t so bad.
My husband is a water baby. If it were up to him, he would start and end every day with a dip in the ocean. My daughter loves it too, but she’s always a little concerned with getting getting her feet all sandy…so she was pretty content to just sit on a log and be entertained by daddy this time.
