The Location
Fresh content, connection, and a couple hours just for you!
Content Play Day is all about giving you the time, space, and environment to finally create the simple content you’ve been putting off—while connecting with other like-minded business owners and creatives.
We’ll have 2 hours in The (beautiful) Gallery Studio to try things out, collaborate, and capture simple photos and video.
Come with a plan (I can help), or keep it spontaneous. Either way, you’ll leave with fresh content and a boost of creative energy.
Casual content using studio chairs, props, and backdrops
Flatlays or detail shots of your tools, products, papers
Behind-the-scenes content (Reels, Stories, etc.)
Simple video clips to use across your platforms

Hi, I'm Kate!
I’m a Calgary-based brand photographer, and I spend most of my time creating intentional, strategic brand photos for creative women entrepreneurs through my Brand Storytelling Sessions.
Those sessions are designed to give you polished, on-brand images that support your business in a big way.
But I also know how hard it can be to keep up with everyday content when you’re busy running a business. That’s exactly why I created Content Play Day.
Sometimes you don’t need a full session—you just need time, space, and a bit of momentum to get started.
I’ll be there creating my own content, too, and keeping things relaxed and easy. If you need a hand, I’m there—but this isn’t about doing things perfectly.
It’s about showing up, trying things out, and actually enjoying the process.

Will you be taking the photos, Kate?
This is a self-led content session using your phone. I’ll be there creating my own content, too, and am excited to play around together—but this isn’t a traditional photo session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know what I’m doing?
Not at all. You can come with a few ideas, or keep things spontaneous. If you’d like, I can help you map out a few simple content ideas ahead of time so you’re not starting from scratch.
What kind of content will I leave with?
That’s up to you. Most people will walk away with a mix of selfies, flat-lay photos and short behind-the-scenes video clips. I'll have a couple tripods to use and we can take shots for each other.
Where is the studio?
We'll be playing around at The Gallery Studio - a gorgeous, natural light space with TONS of chairs, props, backgrounds... It's located at 11166 42 St SE Calgary.
Is there a headshot option?
Yes! Since I’ll already be set up in the studio, you can add on a professional headshot for $250 + GST. This is a quick, simple add-on (not a full Elevated Headshot session), and you’ll be able to choose your favourite image from a selection.
What do I need to bring?
Your fully charged phone and anything you’d like to use in your content (laptop, notebook, props, products, etc.). If you have a few outfit options, bring those too.
I don’t have a business—does that matter?
Not at all! This is a no pressure, no expectations chance to play around in the studio.
Is this a replacement for a brand session?
No—this is a totally different experience.
