I often hear parents say they’d like just a couple pictures of themselves with their son/daughter as opposed to a full photo session. I think people like the idea of a short time commitment, a little less money on the pocket book, and the feeling of a “no pressure,” quick and easy mini photo session.
I tried something new this spring and offered Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Minis (5 images in 15 minutes). I found it to be quite the challenge, actually. Once these two gorgeous ladies stepped in front of the camera I struggled to keep it to just a few clicks. Instead, I saw the special connection they had and the way they admired each other. I wanted to keep taking pictures all day!
If you have any suggestions for “mini sessions” I’d love to hear them. I’m thinking that Back to School Minis would be fun. Cause who doesn’t want to document their son/daughter in that super cute new school outfit and untouched backpack? Might as well get a picture now while it’s still nice and fresh!
